Last night I had the pleasure of co-hosting the Poleci Holiday party along with fellow blogger friends, Maxxinista after my own heart, Lindsey Calla of Saucy Glossie, and Christina Caradona of Trop Rouge (with whom I did Seventeen Mag!). I couldn’t have asked for better company and all three of us had a fabulous time honing in on our personal styles and choosing ensembles for ourselves and the mannequins, all from the dynamic Poleci collection. Specializing in cutting edge sophistication, Poleci is accessible, sculptured, and perfect for the urban lifestyle. Poleci’s only New York City location is fittingly located in the Meatpacking District on the retail paradise that is Gansevoort street.

I couldn’t have been happier donning my beautiful Poleci LBD. From the intricate sequin-detail to the construction, this dress embodied the vintage look I love so dearly.

DJ Chelsea Leyland
Party guests enjoyed flutes of champagne and hor’deurves while browsing the Poleci spring and fall collections and dancing to the musical stylings of DJ Chelsea Leyland. Leyland’s eclectic mix of indie and electronica tracks kept the Poleci store vibrant the entire night.

The Poleci Looks I Styled
I wanted the two looks I styled for the mannequins to not only complement my dress for the night, but also my personal style, as told by the Poleci collection. The first look is all about the statement piece, black goat hair jacket, which I paired with a black sheer textured-pattern blouse and black fitted skinny pants…… All black is always alright.
The second look pays more homage to my love for vintage. Playing with the sheer and lace textures, along with the soft/dark palate combination, I layered the nude skirt beneath the black dress and absolutely adored the outcome. I also added one of Poleci’s statement necklaces to the mix, as it served as the perfect adornment.
