Imagine a world where the mobsters of Goodfellas opted for Dolce & Gabanna and Jodie Foster donned Yves Saint Laurent and Louis Vuitton in Taxi Driver. In their November issue, Harper’s Bazaar brings this sartorial dreamland to life in collaboration with the director-in-chief, Mr. Martin Scorsese. While it would be impossible to recreate the scenes given some of his legendary movies date decades back, Harper’s and Scorsese sought the help of acclaimed, and up-and-coming actors, of our day to assume roles in the iconic scenes from films like The Aviator, Gangs of New York, Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore, and of course the aforementioned Goodfellas and Taxidriver. In addition to the marvelous portfolio of scenes, there is also a behind-the-scenes video from the shoot, and firsthand testaments from actors about working with Scorsese.
