In addition to giving me Royal Wedding fever, Kate Middleton has instilled me with a love for fabulous hats! I am so happy that Kate Middleton is bringing fashion hats back into a vogue as I believe their ubiquity on the scene has completely regressed this day and age. It’s an absolute shame! Daring hat styles which Ms. Middleton dons should be reserved for Royals only. Hats are not only a great way to dress up an outfit, but certainly make a statement.

While Ms. Middleton always look great from head-to-toe, it’s her hats which always steal the show, and it’s Irish-born hat designer Phillip Treacy who she has to thank for the designs. Although, Ms. Middleton won’t be wearing one of Treacy’s hats on her wedding day, his headpieces will be making appearances on both those of the wedding party, as well of a slew of attendees.
Treacy told Style.com that the Royal Weddings are “a real hat moment” and that when he attended Prince Charles and Camilla’s wedding “It was the most interesting day of my life. I watched Princess Diana’s wedding as a boy, so to see the future Queen of England coming round the corner towards me in one of my hats was just amazing.”
With the Royal Wedding just 2 days away, I will not only wait with baited breath for Ms. Middleton’s wedding gown, but for Treacy’s dazzling hat creations to grace the ceremony, as well!
