After hearing that the invitation was labeled Jean Paul Gauiltier’s Monsieur Show, “James Blonde”, I was eagerly anticipating a 007-esque collection with that special Gaultier flare. The collection exceeded my high expectations with some of the most exciting menswear I’ve seen for A/W 2011 thus far.

The James Bond theme song serving as the soundtrack, the first models took to the runway in impeccably tailored tuxedos with guns to match. The looks that followed seemed fit for a flamboyant Bond, such as the camel colored coat with a fur collar worn over leather shorts. The ensembles continued to get more humorous with pantsless models, complete with gun strapped to the thighs. Finishing the collection with shimmering golds, offset by black, it seemed Goldfinger might have been the most influential Bond movie for Gaultier.
